Ontology-based specific and exhaustive user profiles for constraint information fusion for multi-agents

Intelligent agents are an advanced technology utilized in Web Intelligence. When searching information from a distributed Web environment, information is retrieved by multi-agents on the client site and fused on the broker site. The current information fusion techniques rely on cooperation of agents to provide statistics. Such techniques are computationally expensive and unrealistic in the real world. In this paper, we introduce a model that uses a world ontology constructed from the Dewey Decimal Classification to acquire user profiles. By search using specific and exhaustive user profiles, information fusion techniques no longer rely on the statistics provided by agents. The model has been successfully evaluated using the large INEX data set simulating the distributed Web environment

A Sublessee’s Rights in the Face of A Debtor-Sublessor’s Rejection of an Unexpired Lease Under Chapter 11

(Excerpt) Whether or not rejection of a lease constitutes termination is of great concern to interested parties in a chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding. This determination can alter the remedies available for injured parties. Section 365 of the Bankruptcy Code establishes the general rule that rejection does not constitute termination, and sets forth the circumstances where exceptions to the general rule apply. In In re Overseas Shipholding Group, Inc., a Delaware Bankruptcy Court held that the rejection of a lease constitutes a prepetition breach of the lease under section 365(g) of the Bankruptcy Code. The court determined the amount of damages a lessee facing rejection of its lease could claim could not be more than what it could claim outside of bankruptcy and that the lessee is subject to underlying agreements and applicable state statutes. The debtor-lessor argued that the case was similar to Chatlos Systems, Inc. v. Kaplan, where a Delaware bankruptcy court found that rejection of a lease constituted termination of the lease. The underlying lease contained a provision that stated that the debtor would not incur any liability to the lessee if the lease were terminated prematurely, therefore, precluding the lessee from bringing a claim for damages against the debtor. However, the Overseas court found the facts in the Chatlos case were dissimilar because in Overseas, the lessee vacated and relinquished possession of the premises, whereas in the Chatlos case the lessee remained in possession. This important distinction changes the lessee’s available remedies in a rejection case. Part I of this article details the background and purpose of section 365. Part II and Part III narrow the discussion to the relevant case law where rejection of a lease does not constitute termination under section 365(g), and the available options and remedies to lessees. Part IV then explores the exceptions in section 365 where rejection of the lease constitutes termination of a lease. This article concludes that a court will look at the actions of the lessee to determine whether rejection of a lease is termination of the lease or a prepetition breach, which in turn, determines the available remedies

All-aromatic biphenylene end-capped polyquinoline and polyimide matrix resins

Biphenylene end-capped polyquinoline and polyimide resins afford low void content graphite-reinforced composites with good initial properties. However, with both resins, rapid degradation occurs during oxidative isothermal aging at elevated temperatures. The degradation is not observed during isothermal aging under a nitrogen atmosphere which suggests that the biphenylene end-cap (or the resulting crosslink/chain extension structures) is not particularly thermooxidatively stable. The nature of the thermooxidative instability is currently under investigation

The paper presents a model that objects, activities and emotions are mapped against two major attributes of ‘inspirational’ and ‘familiarity’. The model is used for studying into a number of hotels of different star-ratings selected from around the region. The result of the analysis expressed through an OAE index, helps to identify: What gives a space its value? The conclusion is that creating the right emotion is not so much about how stylish or contemporary the room is; it is more about whether we can create the corner that can evoke the relevant emotion and feeling. The author has developed a new theory – The Ochoko Theory that substantiates the hypothesis of that when the guest is offered to configure the room by selecting object(s) of his/her own choice, the room will end up with a refined attitude which can be interpreted as a view of that particular room of itself

Structural studies of a fucogalactoxyloglucan from pinus radiata primary cell walls : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Biochemistry at Massey University

1. The changes in carbohydrate composition of elongating Pinus radiata primary cell walls were investigated. In the hemicellulose B extracts, a large increase in the percentage of non-starch, non-cellulosic, glucose was found to occur on cessation of cell-wall elongation. 2. By fractionation of the hemicellulose B extracts, with a variety of methods involving precipitation from an aqueous solution, a xyloglucan was purified. This xyloglucan was the major hemicellulose of the Pinus radiata hypocotyl cell wall. 3. Characterisation studies on the xyloglucan involved: quantitative analysis of the monosaccharides derived by nitric acid/urea hydrolysis; identification of the partial hydrolysis products derived by trifluoroacetic acid hydrolysis; quantitation of the sugar linkages using methylation by the Hakomori method; and analysis of the anomeric configuration of component sugars using chromium trioxide oxidation. 4. From the results a tentative structure has been suggested for the xyloglucan, consisting of a backbone of B-D-gluco-pyranose residues linked together by 1-4 glycosidic bonds, and with sidechains of single xylose residues linked through C-6 of the glucose units. Galacto and fuco-1,2- galacto sidechains are attached to some of the xylose residues, probably through the C-2 of the xylose
